Glen R. Sturgeon of Danville, Indiana died November 28, 2013. He was 71. Born March 2, 1942 in Rushville, Indiana, he was the son of the late John (Wesley) and Myrtle Sturgeon.
He is survived by his wife, Merita Sturgeon, daughter, Pamela McCormick, grandson, Brandon McCormick and step-sons Wayne, Randy and Jerry Hoffman and their families.
Glen worked at United Technology Carrier as the head of maintenance for 40 years, retiring with a perfect attendance record with the company. He was always helping others and lending a hand in his community as it was needed. He continued helping others by serving in the United States Army and fighting for our country in the Vietnam War. He was an active member of the American Legion of Danville.
Glen was an avid horse lover and shared this passion with his daughter, Pamela. This consisted of many horse shows and rodeos throughout the years. We know he is in heaven riding horses with his father in beautiful green pastures.

Dear Uncle Glen,
I will always remember the motor cycle ride you took me on when I was only 5 and the stories that my dad and your brother Hubert told me. All those Sturgeon brothers kept Rushville hopping LOL. I know that you are fellowshipping with your mom, dad, sister and brothers in heaven. Love from your niece, Jill Sturgeon Thompson – Florida
Jeff Sturgeon says
So sorry Pam. I remember these crazy parties your dad would throw in the late 60’s, usually for the Indy 500 and there would be a lot of people having way to much fun, I think I have pics somewhere, I will see if i can find them.xxx
